And what's funny about this comment, is you're making yourself looking like an idiot trying to hype Pac, when Porter was a sparring partner for Pac. And a few threads ago, last week, you quoted Porter saying "sparring Pacquiao made him a better fighter" :rofl

    Shot yourself in the foot.

No way in hell was this a close fight .

This is coming from someone who said many times Shawn Porter is the future of boxing .

Porter met his match and could not overcome it .

Nothing Porter did bothered Brook , Brook made it look so damn easy in there .

He fought exactly the same way he did against Alexander/Malignaggi and people were hyping him as the second coming of Tyson

Boxings about levels and Brooks skills exposed Porters crude one dimensional style perfectly

This is the correct scorecard :good

All I could think of at the end of this fight was that I wish Paulie was commentating. He would have found some way to find favor with Porter throughout the fight. Remember his post fight interview after he lost to Porter? Through teary eyes, he was saying that he told Porter that he better go on to do great things, because he only loses to great fighters and it will make his loss sting a little less. :rofl Paulie's reaction would have been priceless Saturday night in the aftermath.

After the 1st round I knew my fears were true, Porter was going to lose. It was clear from the get-go.

The Tyson comparisons were absolutely laughable. Take a short, muscular, aggressive brother who gets a knockout or two, and everyone goes right to Tyson. It's a good litmus test to see who actually gives a damn about boxing and styles and who just likes seeing aggressive fighters.

I saw far more Marco Huck in Porter. The upshot is this: Huck had a fight with Steve Cunningham that "exposed" him (can you call it exposed if everyone already knew the weaknesses going into it?), and overcame that to have a heck of a career for himself by staying active and in fighting shape. Turns out that caveman style is still hard to beat when you've got that kind of strength and physicality.

Hopefully Porter does the same thing. He's got to remember that a loss isn't the end for an action fighter. Networks look for excuses to keep boring, finesse fighters off the air. They look for excuses to put action fighters on it. He's got to remember that and keep his motivation.

Reminded me of Hatton a bit with his mauling and focus on the body. It was a terrible style to watch and was hoping Brook dropped him.

His 'footwork' is pretty pointless btw, every time he did one of those dance moves he got popped in the face and did nothing afterwards.
