One of the greatest trainers in the history of the sport tells it as it is.

Shawn needs to get with MAYWEATHER, SR.

I said on countless threads he's too reckless, he'd run in and Brook would counter him the whole fight, and he'd make the same mistake over and over and over, because he's not that skilled, you should listen to me MVC:deal I rarely pick a loser:good

Shawn Porters new tactic ever since drawing with Julio Diaz:

Train hard enter fight bite down on gumshield & bumrush.

He fights to his physical strengths. He is a short stocky fellow who is built like a tank and has a good chin. Let's not forgot though that brook spoiled very well on the inside.

Porter was sloppy and just looking to land a big shot. Don't know if it will be a recurring theme in future fights with him, but he better not buy into his own hype

Senior is right on the money, porter should switch trainers, and fast.

I don't think he needs to switch trainers off of one loss, I think he needs to develop a new game plan for different opponents.

Not a believer in fighters immediately switching trainers either after tasting defeat, but if Porter wants to one of the top dogs in the division again then it's worth thinking about.

The aggressive, wild, straight forward, winging away style worked against Paulie who didn't have the pop to keep him off or the strength to work him on the inside.

But there's a lot of WW's out there that can bang and know what there doing on the inside.

Taking nothing away from Brook who put in a good performance on the weekend, what exactly was Porters game plan other than bumrush??

He didn't work his way inside, he just jumped in. I said before the fight which was then shown during the fight, I'm not so sure there's a WW around that can match Brook for natural strength. Porter couldn't even budge him when they were on the inside, his bully boy tactics came to nothing.

As Mayweather Sr says, not a single straight punch thrown. Yeah he was the smaller man, but if he had edged his way in off the jab to get inside, then used angles he'd have had more success.
