GGG's doing all he can to land the Cotto fight.

In the meantime, he's just going to have to keep going all Sonny Liston on the middleweight division and destroying any top 10 fighter that'll square off against him. Rubio will fit the bill nicely, and should help him establish a west coast presence, to boot.

Props to Rubio, who's a consummate pro and will fight anyone, anywhere. Win or lose, this dude's been traveling and taking the dangerous fights his entire career.

It's due or die time for Rubio. The good news, he finally gets another shot, the bad news, it's vs GGG.:patsch

Mexico vs Puerto Rico. WBC will let this go through (they did not allow it for Matthysse vs Peterson tho, thats why it was at 141 because Matty did not want to loose his mandatory spot).

It's better than sitting around fighting lesser opponents under the excuse your being ducked, what's better being proactive about making fights or hoping a fight comes to you.

Cotto refused to fight Golovkin, wanted him to fight for the 160 lb. fight at 154, Golovkin said he would, so Cotto then refused. Cotto refused to fight Rubio. Golovkin should force Cotto to fight him as the mandatory, but watch Cotto get out of that mandatory fight...........

When did Golovkin reply to Cotto's catchweights statement?

I don't think the organizations will unify an interm belt... But anything is possible in 2014.

You reckon he'll vacate his current belt to chase Cotto down then?

Would be a slap in the face for the WBA if he does.

it's been confirmed. this will be a unification bout and the winner will become Cotto's mandatory, per WBC president.

Cotto will be running for the hills after the fight happens. Roach is probably telling him to vacate if the wbc really has agreed to this unification

After this, nobody can say GGG isn't legit, with wins over 5 top 10 MWs.

Actually, GGG's built up a decent resume.
