To me, he was boxing safely and only threw the right hand when he knew Tyson had absolutely nothing left, and even then he had to lean on him to get him down.

James Toney, Michael Moorer, and Terry Norris were all pretty mean outside the ring from what I understand.

 

The fact is you simply don't go on the attack against guys like Ruddock, Golota, Klitschko and Tyson if you're not a pretty scary guy. And in case you missed to the first round of the Tyson fight, Lewis was anything but scared in that round, he pretty much beat the crap out of Tyson in that round and set the tone for the rest of the fight. In fact, it was Lewis, not Tyson who got a point deducted for using rough house tactics. He also beat the living crap out of Klitschko as well. The doctor who stopped the fight said he'd only seen 3-4 cuts as bad as that one in his 20 years of overseeing fights. And that was one of at least 3 cuts Vitali had, as he had one under his eye and his lip was split open.

 

I can't help but think that having Ike Ibeabuchi pissed off at someone would be bad, very bad.

He mentioned he hurt his hand at one point and couldn't use it fully for a few rounds.

 

My bad, cause that I'm not too sure about. He said he did, but who knows. One thing for sure, Tyson could take a punch and whether Lewis hurt his hand or not, Tyson got the crap kicked out of him.

Frankly, most fighters are pretty scary outside the ring. They just have that way about them, that ****sure confidence and natural aggression.

I've met one or two guys who, though they amounted to nothing much as pro's, were still pretty mean guys. They exuded a certain confidence and had that 1000 yard stare which made me wary of them.
Nice enough guys, but not people you'd deliberately make angry.
