Thread title was money I couldnt afford to lose......

I got 4 kids, a neice and a nephew and 2 elderly parents living in my home. Plus, Im laid off work. I cant afford to gamble on a lottery ticket atm.

That said, it's a styles thing for me.

I KNEW Brook had the defensive awareness and the 1-2 to make Porter look foolish leaping in, and battering him when Poter would be considering his leap.

Same goes for Stiverne Wilder. Stiverne likes to sit back and counter, and only moves forward when his opponent either stops throwing to reset, or if he's countered.

Wilder doesnt smother his shots. Look at his most defensive fights....he stays as far away from his opponent as possible, soas not to be countered. He knows he's toast as soon as he's touched. But vs Stiverne....he can sit outside and load up......and eventually, maybe early, the ref aint gonna allow Stiverne to sit on the ropes eating haymakers.:think

Im glad Stiverne won the title...but in terms of defending it over the long terms....Arreola wouldve been better for boxing had he won.

Same goes for Brook.....he'd be wise to fight Marquez, Devon, and a couple fringe guys.....if he fights Khan.....he's losing his title in his first defense.:think

you are gonna show a profit if you bet everytime hopkins has been an underdog, he has lost sometimes but was a huge underdog in tito, tarver and pavlik fights,

He's actually quite a big underdog against Kovalev looking at the odds...

I give Hopkins more of a chance than I did against Dawson which is stylistically all wrong at this stage of Bernard's career, I also give Kovalev a much better chance than Stevenson would have against Hopkins.

I see it as about as close to a 50-50 fight as you can get....I won't be betting any money on this.

With Fury trown in the mix here, if he would ever fight Price, I would certainly bet on David by early KO.
I don't think Fury's chin lasts long enough to take advantage of Price's stamina issues.

Good call. I favour Price in that too. Not to the extent I'd put my life savings on it, but I'd definitely be willing to sacrifice all my vcash.

I bet on Brook against Porter. I felt with the robbery at hand Brook still had a 40% chance of winning. Which was slightly better than what the odds were giving me.
