    And in fairness to Bruno, he was winning against Lewis, Smith and Witherspoon before gassing/getting caught.
     
  2. Hide would have given Frank hell with his speed for a few rounds...but Bruno would have eventually gotten to him..and flattened him.

    Hide didn't have the chin to hang. He can only run for so long.

    Hyperventilating Herbie huffs and puffs and falls down ... against any live opposition.

    Guy was a complete headcase and built his rep against has-beens and never-weres.

    Yeah I'd say prime Hide was definitely as fast as Tyson at throwing singular hard shots.

    a weeks a week, but Herbie Hide's all his life. terrible name for a boxer.

    he was very quick and powerful, completely different animal to a Tyson though

    I can recall hearing Rocky Sekorski mentioning Hide hit as hard as Foreman, he was a sparring partner of Hide's in the early 90's and fought Big George in 87.

    yeah hide was famous for kayoing his sparring partners, he could really hit. plus he threw those awkward unconventional shots with a ton of snap
