Well yeah, I already knew that, but that was my guess as to what lepinthehood was asking by "what is today then?". :good

    As to the OP

It's not uncommon for HBO or ESPN to negotiate airing it at the last minute.

HBO in particular is known for getting bargains on these type of fights and airing them in the afternoon.

Problem is, they rarely buy the undercard unless they pick up a comain or air a fight from another venue as part of a doubleheader.

I wouldnt doubt HBO buys this and airs it alongside the Kiko vs Frampton fight.

I also wouldnt doubt they tape delay it to go against Broner vs Taylor, for the sole purpose of lowering viewership of a Haymon card.

    Seriously.

How much promotion has Haymon done irt Mathysee and Broners card.

Not much considering you got 2 elite LWWs, but that could be b/c Haymon feels confident that Broner and Mathysees name value alone will sell the fight with little hyping on his behalf.

If HBO hides their intentions till the last minute with Kiko(ALWAYS EXCITING) v Frampton(ALWAYS EXCITING) and the HWCoTW...........they could be maneuvering to fukk Haymon some, and in turn, fukk showtime indirectly.:think

Right, by not expressly wishing him a shitty birthday you've all but given him a $50 Barnes & Noble gift card and baked him a cake from scratch. No guilt, brother. (unless you have yourself more than one slice - I saw you drop in that entire stick of butter, 3tbsp over what the recipe called for!!)

Why are Americans watching Kovalev and not Wlad?
Cause Kovalev has American oponents who might have a chance of beating him.
If Wilder wins against Stiverne and really has the balls to fight Wlad then, which he and his promoter wont, there will be interest in America.
Boxing is about "supporting your man", no one cares in Europe about Mayweather beating some other Americans or Argentinians at Flyweight or whereever he fights, and it is not because Mayweather is boring, i just dont care, i maybe will watch a fight of him when he fights a German, or German-based East-European who has a chance of beating him (or the media at least tells me that he has a chance), otherwise it is just not interseting for me, like Wlad is for most Americans.

boxing in america is dead, from minimum weight, through heavyweight.
