Hall v Cabellero

Anyone know why Hall's fight against Caballero has been moved to Monte Carlo? After everyone was celebrating Dennis Hobson winning the purse bid against goldenboy it seems odd to shift it to a neutral venue.

 

Money would be my big guess. Thought it was strange though.

 

It might be the case that after winning the bids he has realised he can't make the fight here without losing a load of money! I'm sure I read somewhere that he lost money on the Jamie McDonnell title fight and maybe isn't prepared to lose as much or more for this one. The promoters for the show in Monte Carlo must have gave him a decent offer to let them stage the fight there and he thinks that is a better route to go.

 

It's effectively an away fight and therefore all the credit he got, he loses.

 

He needs to make his money at the end of the day.

 

first i've heard of this. but yeah, it must be about the money.

why bid for a home fight in the first place if you couldn't really afford it? bit stupid.

Dennis Hobson promotes Hall though.

Hall is only fighting on the channel that Wa55en owns. he won't be bidding or negotiating for Hall. where he fights is all down to Hobson.

why though, FW doesn't have anything to do with this?

maybe Will Smith has something to do with it. he also has nothing to do with this situation... just like FW doesn't. :-(
