    Round 8

Montes is stalking after Bone, taking a couple of long steps to close distance and probing with the jab. Bone is hopping around the ring, cutting corners, and jumping in with prohibitive fast double left hooks when Montes nears. Bone is leaning halfway in, drawing a 1-2 lead from Montes, and jerking back to make Montes lunge and miss. Big slingshot right hand drawn back and planted in counter by Bone.

    10-9 Bone

    79-73 Bone

    Montes is very tough. :nod

Of course, he mostly has only fought at Mexican domestic level with his best opponent being Soto (on the comeback trail after Matthysse) and his best win is probably shot Hector Velazquez - but he gets into wars frequently and has never been knocked out. I'm not sure he's even been down.

    Round 9

Montes is walking forward, arms folded in front of his face to deflect if not entirely keep out Bone's offensive flurries. Bone is circling in either direction and crop-dusting with quick 50% power straights and hooks with both hands. Bone sticks a jab and trots away from Montes', dipping over to one side and coming up with a BIG left hook. Montes is walking forward, letting Bone's sloppy jabs and rights skid off his forearms, though some are whizzing through and touching his face. No quit in Montes.

    10-9 Bone

    89-82 Bone
