Sounds like he is saying Keith is unknown while brook is also unknown on USA tv like Showtime. It tells me hearns knows thurman has the speed, better pop to beat brook. I see Keith Tko Brook which I bet is what Hearns dream about.

Thurman is unknown in the UK- Rios a little more due to his fight with Pacquiao and John Murray

Plus Golden Boy want more money for him than any of the other options available to come to Sheffield.

I get the impression Thurman himself is pushing for it, but the risk/ reward ratio isn't really working for Golden Boy more so than Hearn, especially as Brook just took Porter's marketability.

I dont think anyone could accuse Eddie of not taking chances with his fighters, even when the odds are against them ie Froch/Bute, Brook/Porter, Rose/Andrade, Barker/Geale to give some examples. Most of those fighters had to travel for their chance and were not the betting favourites to my knowledge.
Brook has just travelled and beaten an undefeated world champ, which Thurman has yet to do. I dont think they would have a problem with taking on Thurman, but would Thurman be willing to travel to face the champ?

I believe Thurman himself is, but I think Golden Boy will want too much money to risk having another of their fighters exposed. They will probably offer Lopez for a hell of a lot less.

I'm sure you thought Porter was going to do the same as well. I've no idea why Eddie Hearn (no S) would be afraid of Thurman traveling to the UK to fight Brook when he's just sent him to America and watched him school the champion in his backyard. The reality is Thurman is unknown to the casual fan (in both the US and the UK) and they're the ones who need to be attracted to make good dollar. Whether you like it or not the great British public want to see Brook vs Khan in another huge stadium filled fight before anything else. The Americans are going to have to deal with it and wait in the queue - just like Brook had to do.

there you go with your belts and 'undefeated' again - the two most misleading attributes as to a fighter's achievements in boxing
brook has put himself on the map by beating porter, much in the same way bute did by fighting similar opposition across the board

use porter to put brook on the map and quit playing every angle that works for you, with no care about about misleading it might be

maybe, but you being unwilling to reply to me in your "andre ward is a coward" thread, showed that you're a brit with an anti-US agenda

I don't understand why some people become one-dimensional and do that, but that's what you do

Hearn just wants to maximise earnings, and have a huge fight for brook next summer

So wants to get a lower risk fight this winter

    Thurman is a risk

    Simple as that

    Not afraid.

Just knows it high risk low reward.

If you handled Brook can you honestly say you would rather he fight Khan (higher pay, more known fighter, les risk) or Thurman?

    Its a no brainer.

If you think about it from Hearns perspective its a simple thought process.

People need to remember that boxing is a business too. A loss to thurman which is likely but not 100% certain would be better to avoid at this point. Much better to get the glass jawed Khan in the ring, and make way more money

It just doesn't make sense from a risk vs reward perspective. If Thurman was a big star and it was a big money fight then I'm sure Hearn and Brook would fight him. Thurman needs to keep raising his profile and this could be a big fight in the future. I hope that happens because Brook vs Thurman is a fight I would love to see.

Thurman is a bit big for Brook and in all likelihood stops Brook early.

Thurman shouldn't be an option whilst Khan is on the table.
Khan brings more to the table than Thurman, and should be a relatively easy night for Kell Brook.
