You are a little simpleton 17 years old or so, i sparred with much bigger and stronger guys than duran, i am 6,1. And 208 pounds, in good shape, OF course that duran beats my ass in a boxing match but i guarantee you that i would not have any fear OF taking his shots

There's a big difference, between sparring "big and strong" nobodies, and an elite ATG fighter. Once he starts connecting, you WILL start fearing taking his shots.

Yeah. And most of the pro fighters come from rough beginnings to start with. Of course that makes for scary guys.

Off the top of my head, famous fighters with some sort of criminal background: LaMotta, Graziano, Patterson, Liston, Hurricane Jackson, Lyle, Hopkins, Toney, Tyson and then of course murderers like Ike and Monzon. And I'm sure there have been literally dozens of others.

There are also the ones with rough backgrounds, that's probably been bordering criminality at times - like Johnson, Dempsey, Duran, Hagler and many, many others. Even SRL seems to have been in his fair share of street fights growing up.

Frankly, there are so many potentially scary men in boxing that it's hard to know when to stop listing them. A far shorter list would be fighters that weren't as scary. Ali being one (not that I would like to have him mad at me) and DLH being another.

Duran didn't get called hands of stone for nothing and he carried his power up the weights without the use of peds. He started as a skinny bantam and ended his career old and fat fighting super middleweights. Duran put middleweights heavily on their arse. Look at the brutal beating he gave the much bigger Davie Moore then go watch him put the huge middleweight Iran Barkley heavily on his arse. He wasn't the ko machine he was at lightweight but he still had serious dig at the higher weights.

It's really quite ridiculous you say you would have no fear in taking Durans shots because you sparred bigger guy's in some amatuer gym. Duran was a freak of nature and would bully and beat you to a pulp, all 6 ft 1 208 pounds of you. Duran is a stick on top 10 ATG with 103 fights (70 by KO.)

Quit with the illusions of grandeur.

Then you have Durans street fighting stories as a young kid where he would challenge American sailors to fights so he could ko them and steal their money.

Duran has an epic story of a training bust up brawl. Apparently he was an unstoppable force hitting anything that moved. There was bodies lying ko'd all over the place, including his sparring partners father  His trainer who told the story said it was a sight to behold.

I forgot to mention I met Jersey Joe Walcott in the 70's, He was maybe a half inch over 6" but big shoulders arms head and neck, big hands and not your average human. When he began to speak he was soft spoken but you could see he was a dangerous guy, I met Ali, Holmes Big guys but Walcott and Frazier were the most imposing

And yes . I said it and i repeat it again. I would not have any fear taking shots from a guy of the size of duran. I am not talking about skill or as he would school me or would hit me in every part
.does not matter as hard did hit him pfp. I have taken shots from much harder punchers than him h2h. So no. I would not have any fear. Period

Don King outside the ring under the wrong circumstances is scarier than any of them.
