Fighters that you thought would be world class!

David Price & Audley Harrison are two excellent examples.

Not too sure I would agree with some who suggest Berto..he did become a World Champion after all and therefore was world class!!

I'm not a big fan of Amir Khan, but he is a two time World Champ and is clearly world class.

I was praying that Travis Dickinson would stop the partying/excesses and really make a go of his career, but that appears to be a forlorn hope.

A great lad with undeniable talent and dynamite in both hands, if he had took the game seriously and dedicated himself he may well have earned himself a title shot (If you're reading this pal, prove me wrong man, for ****s sake)!!!

 

Yeah I thought Travis would go onto bigger and better things after he won PF, hasn't really gone that way.

Holds 2 stoppage wins over Groves back in the amateurs I believe? But in comparison, Groves is now fighting for world titles & has been part of an event which put 80,000 back sides on seats & the other is taking part in a channel 5 boxing tournament.

Keith Wallace was a lovely boxer to watch and I really thought he was going all the way. As a flyweight he was beating flyweights, bantams and featherweights. He was after a fight with Charlie Magri and I think on form a lot of people fancied him. It was a big shocker when he got stopped against Antoine Montero on a body shot in a European title fight. He was never really the same after and that got stopped a couple times when body shots were involved. Sadly he passed away a few years back still a young man.

 

I remember Keith Wallace he was a great mover and had a good punch.

I did not know he died, what a shame, he was a great boxer.

Travis chinned Saint George in the amateurs, Groves' trainers demanded the return and Travis repeated the dose!!

Travis hits like a freight train mate!! Either hand!! He is tough as nails and has an abundance of natural talent.... but he parties like a rockstar!!!

I was hoping that TD's loss to Bobby Ajisafe (no excuses, Bob was the better man on the night, but Travis should not have fought) and close call with Matty Clarkson would serve as a wake up call....Not a chance!!

Ronnie R (Travis' trainer) and Travis recently visited Pat Barrett's gym and sparred with Lyndon Arthur (i'm sure you are familiar with the name..he is Pat's Nephew and I for one think young Lyndon will go all the way) and that session should have served as a wake up call for Travis...but it did not!! And if (like Travis) you are determined to abuse your body on an almost daily basis, how the **** can you expect to compete at championship level??

I think Bobby A will beat Travis again (but I do hope that I am wrong) simply because Bobby lives the life of a professional athlete!!!

To be honest mate, it's ****ing frustrating because Travis is a great lad and I know he is going to regret this when it is all too late!! His Brother, John Lewis truly is one of the nicest lads in the sport... and dedicated to. If he had Travis' natural gifts, he would be fighting for world titles!!

On a side note: Pat's first show is on Sat 25th Oct (Lyndon is scheduled to make his pro debut) A few pals and I have been invited down. Are you going Furey mate?
