How is Taylor even sanctioned to fight Soliman?

It'll be the first time in SEVEN YEARS he's ever had to make the 160 limit. When he was brutally knocked out. He's been brutally knocked out twice in his two big fights since then. We're talking brain damage. He's fought two guys with decent records on paper slightly above 160 since those big fights. But hasn't even hit 160 quite. How is he in a fight for the IBF middleweight title? I thought Soliman openly said he wanted the winner of Golovkin/Geale? Now it's Jermain frigging Taylor's shadow instead? Fill me in. Who's pulling what strings and why on earth are they pulling them for Jermain Taylor at this stage in the game? A Golovkin unification to Jermain Taylor. What a kick in the anus, IBF. I've always liked both of these guys but this fight is a disgrace.

Hes been medically found to be at no more risk of brain injury than anyone else.

And frankly, what had Soilman done in the first place to get a shot against Sturm?

This is modern boxing, fight the right guys, get on a ranking list , bring the right guys out for a nice dinner and play the game.

Being "worthy" has nothing to do with it.

I have Taylor winning this one.

Soliman said he wanted GGG....so what?

Is Soliman a promoter? Calling guys out fighters means nothing.

Maybe GGGs team didnt see it as a good fight right now, maybe Solimans team didnt.

Just because someone calls someone out doest mean the fight will EVER happen.

I'm not ready to write Jermain Taylor off. He's got four losses (to Abraham, Froch and Pavlik). He was in all those fights. He had Pavlik and Froch down and would've won the Froch fight if he'd lasted 14 seconds longer.

Taylor also has a win over Caleb Truax in his comeback, who is ranked by the IBF.

I'd rather see Soliman fight Taylor than Caleb Truax.

Soliman and Taylor are peers. It's an even fight. I wouldn't even be surprised if Jermain won.
