How is Taylor even sanctioned to fight Soliman?

There's some missing the point maybe. Has nothing to do with whether or not it might turn into a good fight or anything like that. It's a guy who isn't a contender in the division he's been fighting going down to a weight limit he hasn't quite made in seven years getting a title shot there. It's nonsense. But to Buck's point if it turns out to not be a a sanctioned title fight, that would be best. If this is scheduled for the title after all, they should be shamed into dropping that. My question though was WHY anyone would try to manipulate Taylor into a title shot now at 160. Seems ridiculous to be working at that considering where he's at right now.

Soliman is a PED user that is the reason he has showed better form at age 40 than he has his entire career.

Of course, it'll be on ESPN! :rofl

Yeah? He was 160.5 lbs for the Truax fight. Close enough for me. I'm worried about his brain, not him making weight. Like, not at all. Soliman can't punch much though so JT is semi-safe, I'm expecting this to be a Soliman showcase for ESPN to hype him up in preparation for a Golovkin unification.

I already said he'd weighed in only slightly above 160 if you bothered to read what I said. This is not about him making weight. That's not the point- like not at all. Just like it's not about whether or not it might be a good fight to watch or competitive. It's about the concrete fact that an irrelevant contender in any division in his late thirties with a suspect neurological status can secure a title shot in a division he hasn't had to fight in for ****seven years****. I don't know how I could possibly be more clear than this. I really don't. Taylor might win. I don't know. Again that's not the point.

Pretty simple. Soliman was lured by ridiculous money and is too dumb to see he is being set up. Taylor is being backed by Haymon who knows Sam isn't a puncher so all JT has to do is go 12 and he can get the Kid Undercard treament on the scorecards with a 10-2 UD. That sets up JT vs Quillin or Jacobs for a unification belt depending on who Haymon believes in more at this point.

If Taylor unifed with Jacobs then he could drop the WBA regular belt and would no longer be obligated to fight Golovkin in the future and Haymon would have an IBF and WBO Champ at 160 to continue with his German M.O of meaningless title defenses with his American belt holders.

If Soliman doesn't fully dominate or stop a shot to **** Taylor he needs to be set up.

I wonder if Taylor will still be able to fight after getting arrested for shooting his cousin today?
