Guess it really doesn't matter to some the caliber of puncher their favorites faced ..

Funny the people mentioning jefries when he faced 168 pounders and when he faced a big decent guy ...johnson kicked his ass badly

Well Jeffries was fighting name opponents pretty much from his professional debut, and he was never knocked off his fee until he came back from a long layoff to fight Jack Johnson.

Even given that most of his opponents were smaller heavyweights, this is impressive.

smaller heavyweights? 168-178 pounders hws? tommy morrison would look an iron chin guy if he was faced guys of the size of roy jones, in my opinion jefries should not be mentioned here

He should be considered a good chin but one of the very best is pure speculation on very thin facts .. you cannot compare him to guys that fought much bigger punchers .. there is no fact behind it. In addition he fought very few total bouts against fewer opponents ..

The biggest hitter he ever faced was Fitzsimmons, a murderous pound for pound guy but do you really compare him power wise to a Foreman, Shavers, Lewis, Wlad, Liston, Tyson ? I don't at all ..

How many heavyweights throughout history, were legitimately better finishers than Fitzsimmons?

    Could you honestly find 20?

Pinklon Thomas had a decent chin, but before he became champ, he didn't fight the guys that Greg Page and Tim Witherspoon were fighting, and they had better chins than Thomas.

Jeffries had only 23 fights and he didn't compete in the steroid era.

Vitali klitschko had only one dangerous opponent. The 37 years old(nearly 38),slow,fat
Lewis. He could go with this Lennox gigantic distance, 6 rounds.
This proves nothing.(Pelé Reid destroyed vitali in kick-boxing by a lame kick, it
    was a big chin problem.)
Create a new list without vitali!
Respect other fighters' so many tough fights!
