floyd tried to box and move run in the first fight he was just caught by maidana, and asking to fight toe to toe isnt admitting your less talented probably the most skill aspect can be seen fighting toe to toe
I bet Maidana get sparked in this fight. As in out cold. He gets too confident and walks into a big right hand that gets him on the sweet spot.
implies he would cut off the ring like a good boxer is taught how to (especially a fighters who strength lies in FIGHTING like maidana) enough of these bull**** excuses floyd never even ran in the first fight... he gets his work in and gets out before his opponents has a chance to rack up some shots of his own ITS BASIC BOXING LITERALLY YOU LEARN THIS AS SOON AS YOU START SPARRING "dont sit around and admire your work, get in THEN OUT and reset the fight" atleast TRY and box before talking
bayless!? and here i thought he was hailed as the best ref PERIOD.. i think you are confusing him with cortez ? you idiots will chirp up if he deducts a point from maidana for throwing a muay thai knee and cry bayless is biased lol
marcos, is exposing himself here as a 1 dimensional jackass. I, come in as a super middle, and i can eliminate the guy despite my bilk!!
floyd will fight how he has always fought at welterweight espcially as of late box cautiously through rounds 1-3, collect data start to time his opponent and find his sweet spot, then just uses less movement as the fight goes on slowly but surely going toe to toe and pressuring you can usually see floyd really trying to push his opponent in the 7th-8th round trying to gauge "if i keep up this pace for a while can i get him out of here?" usually its a no as floyd lacks big power and his output is not high enough at this age to pull a fighter into deep waters so to speak.
I don't know what Marcos is thinking. Floyd didn't run in their first fight at all. In fact, it's such a silly misnomer by people who say FLoyd "runs." He didn't do that against Alvarez, he didn't do that with the Ghost and he surely didn't do that with Maidana in their first go around. If FLoyd decided to go on his bicycle in their first fight, than Maidana would've lost that fight even more clearly than he did. His most effective work was when FLoyd was on the ropes, and I really doubt FLoyd would've had any problems staying off the ropes if that's what he wanted to do. Marcos had the fight of his career and was fortunate enough to have a referee that allowed him to get away with the things he did. I'll be shocked if he wins more than 2 rounds in their rematch.
He wants Floyd to fight like he did the first fight. But i know that Mayweather will run in the rematch. He makes adjustments meaning he will use his bicycle, box, counter punch, pot shot etc. That kind of Floyd is impossible to fight. Because Maidana will be chasing him all over the ring.We know that Floyd is at his best when riding the bike.
I expect a one sided clinic. It took him about 4-5 rounds to figure out Maidana the firs time. This time it should start from round 1.
