For example, being how many people Gatti inspired, FOTY candidates, the fact that a HBO show has something called the Gatti list, the amount of DVD sales and youtube views and how he is one of the most fondly remembered fighters in the history of the sport, while Gatti is lacking in the prior, he more than makes up for in the latter.

And as I put in the OP, Froch while based one resume or historical impact alone is up for debate if he's in, the two together and he's well in.

Dawson on the other hand is somewhat seriously lacking on historical impact- who will be talking about him 5 years after he retired or go out of their way to watch his fights- in fact, nobody really does now.
