    Yeah, probably. He's not very physically imposing looking at all really. Strange the way that works. You'd never guess in a million years that this guy is considered one of the deadliest bangers in the history of the sport.

    Who? Kovalev? Kovalev's arms aren't impressive at all. He has some of the most unimpressive phisyque between boxers.

    It is in fact even strange that he can generate so much raw strenght.

    Like Matthysse, who looks good but nothing exceptional and yet he punches a division harder than his own.

    Yeah this ^, I'm a big Kovalev fan, but he's not got the kinda 'bodybuilder' type physique that most would imagine generates great power. His chest is deep but not particularly broad, and he's got a kinda rawboned musculature on his arms, but hardly can be described as heavily muscled.

    I guess it's to do with technique and probably leverage - he does often seem to lean into his punches but also appears to hit on the fly with great power too.

    Who knows? These guys just seem to come along.:think
