No kidding Einstein - and has it occured to your razor-like business brain that Quigg-KG is exactly the kind of fight to draw in the 'casuals'?

Great another BW and one who has lost twice in the last year. Short notice or not could they not get a top 20 SBW?

absolutely. 2 talented unbeaten english fighters. fascinating clash of styles (i make quigg favourite but see it as 50/50), 6 centuries of cross-penine belligerence. 4 belts. terrestrial exposure. this sorta **** shoulda been happening straight after froch groves 2 while the casuals were still buzzing on boxing.

Of course AP. Postpone the fight for say, 4 weeks to give quigg and KG the chance to adjust to the change go opponent. Both would be equally "prepared" ( or unprepared) for the other. Both are gym rats anyway......this thing just dropped into our laps and boxings promotional brain trust blew it.

It might well turn out to be another one of the great fights that never happened and we could all be looking back in a few years time and crying!

Sometimes in business you have to be able to think on the fly and seize an opportunity.

Jamoye is a good fighter but he's not a super bantam while Quigg is a big one. There's going to be a noticeable size difference on fight night

Didn't Eddie already pretty much admit they are staying well clear of Rigo?

The problem, my friend, is that Eddie seems to be steering Quigg clear of anyone with any life in them at all. This damaging Quiggs profile, his credibility, and holding back his development as a fighter.

As I said before, given the circumstances this isn't a bad fight for Quigg... Jamoye does come to fight and is no idiot.

Problem is though, once Quigg does go through him, the anti-Quigg brigade will be out with all the negative vibes... "oh he defended against a bantamweight, oh he has 5 defeats" blah blah blah.

At the end of the day, what's turned out has turned out.. it isn't a bad fight given what's gone on, the timing etc.

I don't agree with all the bull **** regular champion, super champion, silver champion, champion emeritus bollocks... I like and rate Quigg as a fighter, he's dedicated to the game and I think he can achieve a lot, but as of right now is he a true world champion when Rigo holds the 'proper' WBA version? Not in my eyes.

After this fight, if he as well as Hearn want Quigg to be seen upon as a true world class operator, he has to take on bigger names and challenges. I know it's easier said that done, people think certain fights can be made with the click of a finger.. far from it. But Matchroom have to go out and big time instigate fights between the likes of a LSC, Frampton, Kiko, Galahad down the line when he gets to that level. Rigo is another one, Quigg perhaps isn't ready for that fight now, perhaps he never will be but it's a big fight & a fight he'd get massive credit for taking.

One step at a time, but there's big fights out there for Quigg and I hope Matchroom deliver them.

Salinas' ranking among so called knowledgable boxing fans was baffling and as you say, based solely on the fact he was from cuba, then he goes and gets himself knocked out by a nobody

wow, who'd have saw THAT coming? not many people except for me and you it seems
