"Artur once won the amateur World Championship over an Italian in Italy in front of 20K people. I'm not worried about the psychological aspect."

Beterbiev only went through 11 rounds of pro fighting. E-l-e-v-e-n. Sure, he's got over 300 am fights, that's not the point here. He's fighting Cloud who A) was a world champ and B) to my knowledge has never been KD.

Beterbiev vs Cloud will involve fireworks purely due to styles. Look at Cloud's win over Johnson, and look at the few fights Beterbiev has had in the pros. We're bound to see two powerful LHWs go at it in the pocket all night long.

Beterbiev beat Kovalev in the ams for you that don't yet know that. He also gave hell to Usyk, and has a win over & a loss to Atoev who KO'ed Kovalev.

Your ripping my commie propaganda off :D
Beterbiev is really good but he won't get a chance at BHop, Sergey will take care of him, Beterbiev Kovalev is a toss up.

Apparently his win over Kovalev is eh though, well at least coming from Kovalev who thought he won.

Indeed. Though FWIW Kovalev believes his losses to both Beterbiev and Korobov were more related to the politics of the Russian amateur scene than in ring performances.

Also FWIW Mekhontsev who's also looking to make a mark at 175 went 1/1 with Usyk.

Both of these guys have superb amateur pedigrees and seem almost purpose built for the pros - Beterbiev in particular given his propensity for getting stoppage wins in amateur fights.

Seems like Kovalevs success has opened the eyes of some promoters to the potential of these guys, nonetheless it's early days yet. A victory, especially a stoppage victory would get Beterbievs name up there with some of the bigger names in the division, but he's still pretty raw in terms of pro experience - I'm just hoping it's not a case of too much too soon by GYM, though with Tavoris' relatively basic technique I do believe Beterbiev can win.

However things play out looks like there's some solid talent being fed into the LHW division especially if potentially we include Savigne and one or two other up-and -comers which should keep it lively for a few years to come.

Beterbiev is good but.... I find him slightly awkward as a pro, he's not wowing me as much as I thought he would, but he'll get better, but Tavoris I'm afraid could be a step up too soon.

Its possible, but not very, what would Sergey do to Murat, Shumenov, and Cloud? BHop is not that far removed from not looking great against Pascal and Dawson. I'm not writing him off if anyone can beat Kovalev its him , but I think Kovalev's power will be too much, he isn't really an Alien and he's old, and Sergey is the man to make him look his age.
