You do realize that Jermain "Hopkins Dad" Taylor was in S6 right? :?

    :deal:hat

I think Kessler beats him too.

Froch will be Hopkins easiest fight since Kelly Pavlik. Amongst the top fighters in the world, Froch pose the least stylistic difficulty for Hopkins.

Look I'm not even talking about a prime Hopkins. This current Hop will beat Froch EASILY.

Wake up he couldn't even beat Pascal easily. Froch is awkward and would work Hopkins down. But wait who did beat Pascal easily oh yea Froch and he even knocked out Hopkins Daddy Taylor.

Pretty much this. I'd have love to seen Carl turning the heat up on Bernard in the later rounds though. Would have been great to see if B-Hop could withstand the onslaught.

No you need to wake up. Hopkins struggled with Pascal due to Pascal's hand speed. At the age of 49, Hopkins is way faster than Froch. Outside of youth (which I don't think will make difference, after all Froch is 37), Froch has no advantage over Hop. Please don't say power because Froch is not fast enough to land on one of the best defensive fighters in the world. Even if Froch lands, Hops chin is good enough to sustain it.

Look this is not a diss on Froch whom I highly respect. I'm looking at a potential fight between Hopkins and him from a stylistic point of view. Styles make fight and Froch's style is made for Hopkins.

Seriously what fighter hasn't had all the advantages of being the better boxer and being faster than Froch? All of Frochs opponents in the last idk 5-6 years have looked better attribute wise than Froch and Froch has beaten them all except the p4p 2. Frochs pressure would do BHOP in he can't fight for very long and Froch would not let him dictate pace. Froch would make it brutal and rough up BHOP something bad.

Did Froch have a problem with Pascals hand speed? You admit Pascal is faster than BHOP but say Froch is going to have a problem with BHoPs much slower hands. Froch is one of the most underrated fighters on this forum every time he is matched against anybody the majority say he will lose it is ridiculous. The majority who say he will lose always eat crow when he doesn't.

i think dirrel would get the nod even though he is a sucka. i think froch would have got the nod in england and hop the nod is usa. unless hopkins just out classed him, kessler would have been the hardest fight not ward. but if wwe talking kessler with the messed up eye then hopkins would have beat him clearly as well.

froch fought like he was blindfolded against ward and dirrell, just not seeing how he gets a decision against an old wizard like hopkins.

You're trying to make Froch out to be something he isn't. First of all Froch is not a high activity guy, so there is no way he's going to dictate the pace. The reason Calzaghe had some success with his pace against Hop was due to his hand speed, which is light years ahead of Froch.

You sound like Froch fans pre super six finals against Ward. I remember them talking about how Froch was going to rough of Ward. They really believed Froch will have a better chance of connect against Ward on the inside. Well, we know who roughed up who, and it wasn't Ward who got roughed up.
However I remember Froch locking at Steve Smoger to break up the fight when Ward was manhandling him against the ropes. If you think what Ward did to Froch was bad, then you don't really know Hopkins.
If Froch tries to take the fight to the trenches, he will regret doing because thats exactly what Hop prefers most of his fight.

None of those Froch opponents are on the same level as Hop.

Venue of a fight doesn't mean ****. At the end of the day the size of the ring in England is the same as the size of the ring Vegas. Fighting in Canada didn't help Pascal, and its not gonna help Froch unless the judges tries to rob Hopkins which is highly possible in England.

What in Kesslers game do you see posing trouble for Hopkins?:-(

Well I'm pretty sure he'd beat Abraham, the version of Taylor that entered that tournament . Johnson and Allan Green would've obviously been beaten.

Direll at the age Hopkins is at is a really tough style match up for Hopkins but I think Bernard would be able to get to Dirrell mentally before the fight so I wouldn't right him off.

Kessler and Froch are both close fights that an SD/MD either way wouldn't surprise me and could depend on where the fight took place.

Hopkins would lose by a fair bit on the scorecards but still give Ward a rough night.

Maybe but at the sametime froch, kessler, ward & dirrell beats shumanov, murat, cloud maybe pascal who lost to froch convincingly. Ward beats bhop easily & dirrell would beat him like dawson did froch would be a toss up.

So just because old man b hop beat that bruce lee wannabe bebuty, the great cloud & the all time great murat he would just move down & beat everybody and even give ward trouble lol. Lets not forget froch beat pascal the guy is a very good fighter & a future hall of famer. Non of those guys bhop has fought in the last 3 years or even close the froch's level.
