    WBA World light flyweight title

    None the less, congrats.

A LITTLE confusing, He has only fought twice in AUS, both times against Samransak Singmanasak, whose from Thailand and has a falsified record, which is very common with fighters from Thailand, his record states

= 60. 38 bouts from 60 bouts are recorded to have taken place in Thailand. With a couple to few thousand Baht anyone can obtain a falsified boxing record in Thailand however all your bouts will be recorded as having taken place within the country. Got a bit side tracked with that one i know

Petalcorin's current residence on boxrec is also listed as "General Santos City, Cotabato del Sur, Philippines" :huh

I think someone had lend of ANBF to be included in Oz ratings. I doubt he resided in Oz for 12+ months.
Without proof, I wasn't prepared to change residence in Boxrec

I suspect Maniatis got into Melbourne based ANBF director, who in turn told ratings boss John Hogg

Why on earth would they cook the ratings for a bloke whose not even living in AUS? How do they benefit from doing such a thing?

Fail to see reason, given he was regional titlist, therefore not eligible to contest Oz title......& where da fark would he find Aussie light fly to contest the frigging thing?

What a joke, is it really that bad that these guys are not monitored with the regulations they must uphold and maintain? You would have to think that this is the case for them otherwise why risk their positions for something so finical, they must know that no one is monitoring a god dam thing they are doing so they can get away with just about anything.

IMO, ANBF should disregard the date they entered Australia, even so stamped on Passport & take 12 month residence from their 1st fight here. That should simplify things. In the event they fight in their home country during this period...their Oz residence becomes invalid.

Told Randy Petalcorin arrived in Australia
in May 2013 to fight on a June 2013
card but his opponent pulled out and he
stayed in the country on a 2 year visa
then fought on November 2013 in Melb
and again March 2014 and has been in
Australia for over 12 months ! Petalcorin
will be applying for permanent residency
and will be a huge hit for Australia boxing

FYI, Filipinos are initially granted 3 month visa & then can apply for two 3 month extensions. Come 9 months, they have to **** off home, otherwise their visit to Oz for next 5 years is as good as farked

A 2 year Visa is not something you can just go in and obtain over the counter, it involves a very strict process. Initially he would have required a Temporary (Short Stay Activity) working visa to enter the country for his fight scheduled in May 2013.

For the 2 year, Temporary Work (Long Stay Activity), he would have then required the following..

•Sponsorship - an organization, government agency or foreign government agency applies to become a long-stay activity sponsor
•Nomination - the long-stay activity sponsor nominates you to undertake an activity
•Visa - you apply for a Temporary Work (Long Stay Activity) visa (subclass 401).

Now the time it takes to have his 2 year visa processed and approved is 3 months. Because he is from Thailand he is put in the "High Risk" Category since Thailand passports are not on the Electronic Travel Authority list for Australia. Now also take in mind that immigration advise that they aim to process at least 75% of received applications within the given time frame of 3 months for this type of visa and the Risk Level.

I would then assume he left the country in June 2013 and returned to Thailand, He could then have obtained the 2 year visa for his fight in November 2013, arrival date of the 2 year visa would have been for November, which would mean that from November 2013 to March 2014, on his 2 year visa he was only in the country for 4 months, then March 2014 to August 2014 brings it to a total of 9 months concurrent.
