ANTONIO MARGARITO will go in HALL of FAME (a True Champ & Warrior that NEVER Cheated)

There is a case for, and against.

For: ranked and succesful WW champion for ages.

Against: Scandals (proven or not), never challenged himself at a higher weight class, despite having the size. I've always wondered why such a big dude never campaigned against the 154 champs... He has only seen success at 147 then, as compared to a fighter he destroyed in Cotto, yes, but Cotto has tried his luck in 3 different divisions

 

Never cheated?

He was caught red handed. Smh!

 

virtually all of his wins with javier capetillo are in question

he was caught FOR THE FIRST TIME loading his gloves going in against an aging fighter who had just lost to a man he defeated soundly

does anybody believe that?

he was loading his gloves in his big wins
he was likely sparring with them

some of margarito's sparring partners say he hits like he's got feathers on the end of his arms
other guys say he's the biggest puncher they've ever been around.


you just wouldnt take that sort of risk (loading your gloves for the first time) if you're a normally clean fighter
you'd trust your talents and be confident with what you have.
especially considering what he had just done to miguel cotto
who outboxed shane

you absolutely wouldnt load your gloves unless you felt you NEEDED desperately to gain an advantage

anybody watched any of tony's last fights?
he's not the same puncher that litterally beat prime miguel cotto into submission and ended his run at the top.

he is not that puncher anymore
he is not the puncher that dropped huge heavy punches on kermit cintron

he's a strong man but he's got very little snap in his punches
not a gifted puncher

he's a cheater. there's virtually no doubt over it.

whats with all the margo threads lately? he was never a great fighter and is not currently relevant in boxing, what gives? he is one of a handful of fighters that i would call a warrior through and through, but i would not call him honorable. i dont like to give him **** because as dirty as i think he would be willing to be, i dont think he would be a puss and complain if someone was twice as dirty towards him.
i dont think he cheated with the wraps, though.

 

Good for him if he makes it into the hall. Still doesn't change the fact that he got caught trying to cheat, and subsequently put every one of his previous wins into question. What a dumbass, if you accept the ts theory, then cheato effectively threw away a stellar career just to "level out the playing field" against an opponent that if he was fighting clean in his previous fights, he should have been able to comfortably defeat. Or the theory that he lied and took hush money to get his boxing license back in order to continue a boxing career that no longer exists.

 

Seriously dude? This is the reason you bring back cheatos topic, this is the reason you defend him? You're going to solely defend the cause for Mexico's greatest boxing champions by supporting the only one who brought the greatest shame to their legacy? Your priorities are not quite right. How about you let what those greats did speak for itself instead of putting them in the same category as their greatest shame.

 

You can't educate with what you consider facts. In order to educate and instruct, the subject matter must be widely accepted as truth and fact. What you are in fact doing is twisting the findings to your own agenda and trying to gain a following, essentially trying to start a cult, which might not be a bad idea if it got all of you together and away from the general public.
