Why the Klitschko's are unappreciated?

I think it's mostly nostalgia. When I speak to casual boxing fans, most bring up Tyson, some bring up the 70's era Heavys, and a few bring up Lewis. My family, staunch Ali fans, will argue vehemently against current era heavyweights(and other weight classes). They don't rate the K brothers at all, not even Vitali. Not even a little. They live in an absurd reality where a 6'7", 240lb technician lands zero punches on Ali. SMH.

Personally I do appreciate the Klitschko's.

I think they've been good for boxing. They have a great back story and they appear to be decent men.

However I do find them very boring to watch, particularly Wlad. The way Wlad boxes just doesn't engage me. I respect his ability and his dominance, but it isn't entertaining.

 

So 4 people make up the minds of over 300million Americans. What are you , stupid?

BTW Lennox Lewis is black and he TKO6 Vitali, so I doubt us Brits (Black/White/Brittard or otherwise) have much reason to hate either Klitschko.
