No , im basing it off the fact Shane for the first time in his entire illustrious career wanted to give up and stop the fight .

Even Against PRIME Vernon Forrest (RIP) , he was getting battered and was dropped twice , and had no chances of winning a decision . Still he never wanted to quit .

Agianst heavy ass natural 154 pounder Winky Wright , where he literally could not get anything done and was damn near shutout , Once again had no chances of winning a decision . Still he never wanted to quit .

No man has ever gotten to Shane mentally the way Manny did . Im still shocked those words came out of Mosleys mouth .

Keyword there is 'nickname' he never says 'I'm better than Ali' and he acknowledges that TBE is a nickname. I genuinely don't think mayweather believes he is the greatest of all time but he knows what gets people to tune in, most people pay in the hopes of seeing him lose, floyd knows that and plays on it.

This will have people fuming in this thread, which is exactly the reaction mayweather wants.

He has said before many times That he is better than Ali , better than Robinson and Yet he wonders why 80% of the boxing world root against him .

Ali fought his share of bums. Coopman is one of the worst title challengers I've ever seen, and he was also drunk during the fight. Post 1976, a lot of Ali's performances were **** to be frank, and he fought some pretty marginal guys.

People may laugh, but I do think on a skill level, Floyd rates higher than Ali. It's true about Ali's legs (and his reflexes) once those started to go, he just didn't have the technical ability to avoid shots. He didn't have the know-how. He relied on an awesome chin and limitless heart once his legs went. He outlasted guys.

That said, Ali fought fights that were far more relevant than any one fight Floyd has ever been in and he fought everyone. He also was a pretty mean finisher and went for the kill if he got the chance.

Floyd may be better, but Ali was greater.

No he doesn't wonder why, He knows exactly why they root against him because he does it on purpose to maximise his sales.

He broke down and cried a river after the Baldomir fight , because he was tired of the media lashing out at him and criticizing him .

It doesn't seem he does all that on purpose , and if does hes a helluva actor .

He also always complains why his own country America supports and roots for Manny and not him .

He makes it clear that the media gets under his skin at times .

He is right in some regards, people are seriously deluded if you think he's completely wrong.

Floyd is TBE in terms of skills, no one can really refute that.

IN terms of resume, no. But skills, hell yes.

This cowardly woman beating POS isn't worthy of Speaking Ali's name
Ali was forced into taking 3 1/2 years off by being banned for purely political reasons. They took offence at his religious beliefs He wa not allowed to be near boxing. Only Angelo Dundee let him use the gym to try to keep in some sort of shape. Angelo said " Hell its his gym to use whenever he wants"
Mayweather took a lay off of his own free will . He "RETIRED" in tears :|:|
saying everyone hated him .:rofl What he was really doing was avoiding the stacked 147 division . He wanted no Paquaio, Margarito, Williams etc so he fled like the coward he is.
The day Mayweather allows an opponent an even playing field will be the day Richard Nixon returns to the White House

Ali took on the best including 2 atg legends in their prime. Floyd after 17+ years still hasn't done that and he has his own Frazier too in Castillo. He's like the emperor with imaginary clothes on his 0 is not real.

True about the legs. Obviously this is just Floyd bullshitting but his mistake is not seeing the difference between his partial retirement and Ali's. Ali simply deteriorated faster. However Ali's resume and bravery destroys Floyd. Ali fought everyone, it's crazy, Ali had everything to lose in every fight, his status as a boxer and icon, yet he consistently took on all comers, even when well past it. I don't idolize Ali, but I respect him for that.

    dear god.

"When Ali took time off and came back and fought, he lost to Joe Frazier. When I took time off, when I took my little vacation, I came back and I fought the number 2 pound-for-pound guy, which was Marquez. "

Floyd should go and shoot himself. Doesn't even make the top 10 greatest fighters of all time.
