You take these things much too serious then. Just because they think it doesn't make it true. Relax.
Also this is all opinion, someone believing Floyd is the best ever isn't wrong, just different than what you think. Just because you believe srr is the best ever doesn't make it true, even if 99% of people agree, its just a popular opinion.
Enjoy boxing and debating but don't let it bother you.

Even Floyd's most fanatical haters would undoubtedly love a piece of his fortune and lifestyle!!

I find it very difficult to believe Floyd would give Roger any kind of blast, they're as close as it gets.
The usual go quicker, you can't keep up etc etc banter, but anything personal nah.

Most adults' lives are about money mate (whether we like to admit it or not).....usually because we could all do with a lot more of it.

On the other hand, my three year old Son thinks that everything he wants, he can have (some twat gave him an Argos book to look at the other day...I could have bloody strangled the perpetrator of that heinous act:lol:).

Well according to Floyd PPV percentage wasn't even discussed. You see that is why team's are suppose to come together to hash out all the details. But prior to that phone call Floyd's team couldn't even get Bob to pick up the damn phone. And Manny sure as hell showed no interest in what was going on prior to that frickin' phone call. He went crawling under a rock like he always does.

I would agree with you but for the fact we're on a boxing site and so presumably those on this site know a bit more about boxing then those who are on knitting sites for example and to say that Floyd is the best ever really is something I think even causal fans would disagree with (as most would likely say Ali based on name recognition alone).

But people who actually spend time looking at boxing records and follow the results should be a little smarter than this.

Knowledgeable boxing fans knows that Floyd doesn't even crack the top 30 ATG list never mind the best ever. (and outside of Ali I don't recall anyone else labeling themselves that)

If it doesn't matter who actually is the best based on accomplishments and skill, then I vote for Gatti as being the best ever and if I had a choice between which of the two fighters I would rather watch, Gatti wins hands down.

    He's definitely better than Ali in a technical sense, but Ali's resume > Mayweather's resume. Ali holds KOs over;

    Liston
    Foreman
    Frazier

Nothing on Floyd's resume comes close..

It's a stupid moniker and I'm sure he knows he's not the greatest of all time.

But he surely is an all time great, and guys as great as him should have that mentality that they are the best ever regardless if there's any validity to it. I mean truthfully the guy has fought almost 50 times and he hasn't really been in any close fights except for maybe 2 or 3 of them? That's an incredible feat and one that I don't think any other fighter has been close to achieving.

I'll be honest, even if he had fought and beat guys that some people considered he avoided- i.e. PW, Margs, Pacman, I still wouldn't call him TBE. There's too many great fighters from the past with over 150 fights on their resume. The eras of boxing are just too different and the lack of activity of current fighters (fighting only 2-3 x's yearly,) makes it hard for any of them to be considered on the same plane with ATG's like Greb, pep, SRR, etc.

It's a stupid marketing ploy that I guess he uses to rile up his critics even more. He's an ATG, just not TBE.

Comparing loosing to Fraizer to a JMM who had to come up 2 divisions!. Ali beat 2 total ATG better than anything Mayweather has ever done, Ali didn't say no you can't use those gloves, he fought like a man compare the resumes it's so much in Ali's favor. Ali's wins to Floyds

1 Foreman, Fraizer x2, Liston x2, Norton x 2, Shavers, Quarry, Patterson. Floyd really should ask himself " why does nobody else think i'm better then Ali or SRR" the fact is Mayweather isn't even in the top 30 in history only people who've watched boxing for the last decade would think he is. As for skill level no he is not the greatest Pep, Whittaker, RJJ, SRR, SRL are all more gifted then Mayweather.

Not in the slightest. You have the ability to look at things from both sides of the table.
