If it wasn't for the likes of Ali transcending the sport and bringing in big money, Floyd Mayweather would not be where he is today in terms of finance, the thing he brags about most.

by way of retrospeed05 of the scene

No one at the scene is buying it but my thoughts are that its true. People clowned that one dude a few months ago on youtube but he does have credible sources in terms of regular street dudes in the camp. Karceno has also said it. Sam Watson has said it. Floyd said he has a big surprise in May. Roy Jones said it after talking to Sr. Arum has been talking about 2 fights next year. Then out the blue Roach & Pac start dissing Floyd harder then anytime in recent memory.

Everyone is clowning Floyd for his comments at the gym but I seriously believe he is now trolling. He wants everyone to call him a clown or a scared ***** and then break the news on his website that the fight is done. Im not saying its next (even though I wouldnt be surprised) but I think both guys are on board and both sides want it. Honestly, this may have always been the plan or atleast recently.

I mean this is Floyd's 4th fight on Showtime. Now Arum is talking about 2 next year. Thats his 6 fight deal if they have a rematch and Showtime makes major money after people say they have been taking losses. Pac has never gone this hard at Floyd. He's also fighting a pure boxer in Algeri which is a good tuneup. I think its real this time. I seriously do

Hagler, of course, is the odd man out here (in the OP's 'puncher's chance' category), as the career Middleweight. There's only P4P contention to consider but, ask yourself, has Mayweather fought anyone of Hagler's calibre? --- The answer is obviously a resounding 'no' - not even close.

I think SRL would have psyched Mayweather out before they'd even stepped into the ring. It would be interesting to see how Floyd's composure stood up to Leonard's mind games, as well as watching SRL make relatively light work of the Pretty Boy, come fight night.

Duran? If Mayweather was looking for ways not to fight Pacquiao, he would have positively denied Duran's existence. Duran was violent finesse, personified. Speed and power, combined with a canny defence and relentless attack, made Duran more formidable than anything ever contemplated, let alone faced, by Mayweather.

A Mayweather/Hearns bout ends very badly for Floyd. It would have been borderline criminal to have sanctioned the fight.
Hearns' ranginess, speed and devastating punch-power, combined with no respect for anything his opponent had to offer would have left Mayweather the victim of a calamitous accident. At best, Floyd would never be the same boxer again; at worst, it's a career-ending fight for him.

based on pure boxing skills floyd is the best fighter ever. he's accurate, almost impossible to hit, and he can fight on the inside. when floyd was at lower weights he was a boxer puncher.

Everybody cut Floyd a break. We know he can't read. He probably doesn't know what TBE even stands for or is trying to spell something else.
