Scott Harrison will return to the ring after a an 18 month absence under the new banner of the newly formed Phoenix Promotions in Glasgow on October 31st.

Massive Harrison fan and whilst he has wasted his best years I hope he does well enough to earn some decent money to retire on.

Scott Harrison will still be one of the biggest ticket sellers in the UK. He is great value for money. Like him or hate him he is all action quality fighter.

Not the Scott Harrison of old, but he can still fight.

I was at the Walsh fight, he didn't look out of his depth etc but he isn't the animal he used to be. Given the amount of stories of him being pissed up, being behind bars & the time he's spent on the shelf he's got a lot more in him than you'd think.

That said, every couple of months we seem to see a 'Scott Harrison comeback' thread...

I really hope he does. But how many times have we heard this only to be disappointed. I hope first, that he's allowed to box and 2nd he stays out of trouble.

Does this put to bed any notion of Burns v Harrison? Talk of a fight between them aside; Do they get on?

    Who really cares?

We are talking about a 37 year old (I assume recovering alcoholic) who lost his last fight to virtually a novice.

His time came and went and he has nobody to blame but himself for any problems he has/had.

I've supported Scott since he was an amateur, but now your post, much as I still want Scott to be successful, is the truth.
Even at the best Scott showed in his career, he still had far more potential than he showed.
Anyway good luck to him, but I think it will be 2 or 3 completely overmatched foes then a pasting after a step up in class, from a younger fresher fighter. I really hope Im wrong.

Think a trip to willy hills is in order to see what the odds on him getting his licence revoked or him getting the jail for drunken disorderly are before October :rofl

Harrison agreed to that fight a few weeks back, but it seems Team Burns don't really want it for all sorts of reasons. Even Eddie Hearn said there might not be another show for Burns in Scotland this year. Anyway Ricky Burns isn't the be all and end all for Scott Harrison as there's plenty of other options for Scott to fight up here in Glasgow unlike Burns.

How could Scott have made a comeback when he didn't have a licence? Harrison has just got his licence reinstated, so it's not like he's been pulling out of fights here and there.
