They're both running out of big name opponents, they both realize they need this fight.

Mayweather fought the Mosley off the back of him destroying Margarito.

Pac fought the Mosley off the back of the Mayweather defeat and Mora draw...

I honestly think Mayweather NEEDS this fight now. His Showtime deal has put pressure on him to sell, and the Pac fight is still the biggest fight out there. I heard his rematch with Maidana is going to be $78. I'm not buying that **** for that money, and I'm sure a lot of other people wont either. If Pac knocks out Algieri, and Mayweather beats Maidana, this fight will happen next May.

maybe its not for canelo to win but not to hurt the cash cow? he has still remaining fights with a lot of money involved. imagine if canelo blasted his eyes or ears, that would make floyd very vulnerable in his following fights. there's just a lot of money involved so speculations on ensuring the cash cow's safety cannot be avoided

So what you're saying is that everyone knew Canelo had no chance of winning, but had the power to ruin the rest of his career? The drained, green, cherry picked opponent got paid to take it easy huh? Stupid excuses like this only gets entertained when it comes to Floyd winning another fight...

I don't anymore to be honest, stopped caring or taking these rumors seriously since 2012. However, I'm definitely tuning in and getting extremely excited if it does finally officially happen, which I personally believe it won't. If it does, expect the hype and advertisement to be out of this world. Remember how they introduced 24/7(thanks to Mayweather) for the De La Hoya fight?, expect more if this fight happens.

Things would be far better/bigger if Marquez didn't ***** out and gave Pacquiao a fifth fight. Pacquiao avenging his loss to Marquez going in against Mayweather would be HUGE, beating Algieri will mean absolutely nothing in comparison. One thing's for sure though, both won't be as competitive against each other now compared to 2009-2011. They're both clearly past it right now even if they go through intense and exceptional training camps for each other which they most definitely will.

Mayweather will always be able to find any opponent and so will Pacquiao.

It wouldn't be surprising AT ALL.

Maidana is a bum, an Alexander and Khan leftover, he cannot even throw a jab or punch straight, and yet PedJr couldn't accept to fight him, he had to handicap him not allowing him to use his commission-approved standard gloves.

This is straight psycopathic, no one else have ever done that ****, this is beyond pvssy level. This is 3rd grade child insecurity.

And effectively Drainelo looked way shittier than his usual standard. He didn't do anything, he wasn't even throwing, not putting pressure, not cutting the ring, nothing at all. That version of Canelo would have been put in a coma by Trout and Lara and Angulo.

I find it amazing that trolling threads like this get 15 pages.

Yet if someone posts a thread about actual fights, it might go to 2-3 pages.

Maybe because idiots like me comment on them, saying how stupid they are....
