Didn't say he had been pulling out of fights here and there?

I'm saying we very often have Scott Harrison comeback threads that turn out to be dribble.

What does Ricky gain out of fighting Scott? It's a lose lose situation if he wins people are just going to say "Well he beat an old washed up junkie Scott Harrison" and if by some chance Scott beats him then Ricky will be labelled past it or some other thing they like to use as labels these days.

Will be a sad spectacle, a once great fighter fighting on a much lower level to put food on the table for the family as he pished his money up the wall.

Ricky Burns has 1 big earning fight open to him, that's fighting scott Harrison. If its such an easy fight for Ricky why not take it? He would get paid at least 5x more for fighting Scott than he will get for fighting in Leeds. If I was a boxer and I could fight a dud and get paid 5x what I would for fighting another dud I know what I would choice ! But an over the hill Scott Harrison is no dud and team Burns no it

In fairness Moog Scott needs Ricky more than Ricky needing Scott, but if you think either will make huge money your mistaken, I honestly think Ricky wins the fight but its a fight from a personal point wouldn't like to see happening

I can understand why you wouldn't want to see it, respect that. But it is biggest earner available for both fighters. Would sell out hydro in 2 days so would supply world title like money. If Ricky thinks its an easy fight he should go and pick up easy money then. Understand if he had a world title fight, but he has a 10 rounder on a Leeds undercard fight, he was taking them type of fights prior to you training him. Harrison fight pays ways more that that fight for both fighters.

I think you'd be seriously surprised what Scott would be offered for the fight, Scott's not a big draw anymore his comeback fight at the kelvin hall was half empty and that's with the undercards fans there too.
Ive heard they may fight last sat of November in Glasgow but we will just need to wait and see.

To be honest Billy Ricky isn't a big draw anymore as his last crowd at the Braehead proved. That's why he's just a card filler on a Leeds show now!

I tend to agree, if willie limmond never won what a disastrious night that would have been, 3,000 folk in the arena.
Still Ricky had great nights as champion the crowds were very supportive and that must have given him such a boost

There are certain fighters like Limond and Simmonds who put 1000-1500 on any gate, that don't get credit there due. If Scott and willie end up on same bill will sell kelvin hall out easy.

Yes willie hopefully for euro title and scott v ricky will fill kelvin hall but I think the Emirates would be favourite, because it's more central to were willie, scott and ricky live

    Billy,

I wouldn't be surprised to see Scotty being touted as an opponent for Tommy Coyle, dependant on how the Katsidis saga pans out, don't see Michael fighting now, really dont.
