Haven't you heard of Chris Eubank Jr?
He's like Ward and Floyd Jr rolled into one.....plus a cruise missile...and...er...an aligator on speed!
His dad told me so anyway.....

No. This era is very good. The number of top US fighters has been balanced out by a number of eastern European fighters.

"This era" still has quite a few greats from "the last era" who are still on top...

Any boxing era that doesn't have a thriving HW division is a weak era!

(can't tell if serious, but in case you are...)

Which other eras fit this description?

    Larry Holmes era?

    Floyd Patterson era?

    Schmeling-Sharkey-Carnera-Baer-Braddock era?

there's a few russians from 160 to 175 that have great potential, plus Loma. i don't think canelo is going to be all that. too drained at 154 and triple G would stomp him at 160.

Chocolatito, Tomoki Kameda, Rigo, Loma, Santa Cruz, Bandido Vargas, Mikey Garcia, Crawford, Matthysse, Errol Spencer, Verdejo, Canelo, Ggg, Ward, Kov, and Stiverne Imo have the potential or are on the verge of being great and making great fights in years to come.

I really don't or can't understand what this is even supposed to mean. Nor can in understand the logic

The hw division hasn't been thriving because the kilts have been so dominant for so long as they would have been in any era.
just far too big, too powerful and too skilled.

Only Lewis could take them down at their best.
And for me LL is far and away the greatest h2h hw ever

Probably not. Every era is considered weak by those who live in it.

Let's leave that kinda judgement to the fans and pundits of the future who can look back with a proper sense of perspective.

No. Look at all the great fighters in this era:

    Floyd
    Manny
    Marquez
    Bradley
    Ward
    Rigo
    Gonzalez
    Wlad
    Hopkins

Fighters who could go on to be great:

    Crawford
    Andrade
    Thurman
    Brook
    Kovalev
    Lomachenko

This era has produced the two greatest amateur boxers ever in Rigo and Lomochenko so no it's not a weak era, it is at HW and perhaps theirs not the same quality from America but worldwide boxing is not weaker then any other era in fact it's stronger in many divisions.
