Pinch of salt comments like Heavyweights mate, id be very surprise if it were Alex purely because he knew I but in loads of hard word for Ricky, organised every sparring partner for Ricky for six years, most sparring partners stayed at my home transport them to the gym and back ect ect ect.
I'm working with David Brophy who has been in England sparring the very best in the UK of late and that has benifitted him hugely, also Iv'e started training a very top English lad and ive got an Iranian who's as strong has a horse.
I will announce some big news for my gym in the next few weeks and i'm very excited about it.
With regards to Ricky I wish him nothing but good luck, i wasn't aware of any weight issue up to and including the Crawford fight in fact his prep for the Crawford fight was as good as any of his fights he looked great in training but never performed against a excellent champion, if someones better than you its has simple as that but in the UK we have an issue with that, I said on the night Crawford only allowed Ricky to do what he wanted him too because he judged his distance brilliantly on both stances.
When Ricky decided to make the change I shook his hand outside my home and wished him well, no fall out no bad blood he still keeps in touch now and then, eh life goes on

Top man Billy glad to have you around on here always keep an eye out on the Scottish boys on Ricky's undercards hopefully Brophy continues what he's doing and we will see him stepping up the ladder.

You have a cheek pal! Praising Scottish boxers on one thread and then referring to Scott Harrison the 2 time world champion and the only ever Scottish boxer to regain a world title as a "washed up junkie" on another thread. No doubt if Scott used this forum just like Billy you would be kissing his arse aswell.

Burns hasn't done bad at world level, but its not good, its simply fair. I would say a mix up of about 4-5 valid real defence wins and the same number of world level fights that were really defeats.

This basically says to me that hes most successful/fitting in the niche at the level below world, that of commonwealth or around there, where he was undefeated.

Scott was good in his day but what has he done recently to deserve a fight with anyone? I didn't describe him as a washed up junkie you will find my quote was "If Ricky beats him he won't get credit for it as other people will just say he beat a washed up junkie" because Ricky won't get credit for it if he wins now stop trying to put words in my mouth when I never said anything of the sort, Scott has had his problems no one can deny that and he's on the slide in the boxing world he's had 3 fights since 2005!

Let's be honest ******'s matchmaking, Burns work and effort and Billy knowing how to maximize Burns limited talent got to him to the top cleverly.

Your words, your post, you mentioned it not other people. And yes Scott's had his problems, but he seems to be getting over them, so should you pal.

My words weren't "Scott Harrison is a junkie" like you claimed they were all I said was "if Ricky beats him he won't get credit for it because others will say he beat a washed up junkie" I respect Scott and anyone who has the balls to step through the ropes and get in the ring and if Scott wants to fight on good for him but I just don't see it as a worth while fight for Ricky that's just my opinion and I'm not hating on Scott.

People who tend to sit there and try slag billy nelson uz are nothing but jealous trolls . Billy took Ricky from british level to 2 Weight world champion that in itself is a great sporting achievement . Hopefully its correct and its a weight issue with ricky because tbh i miss the old ricky burns the one that destroyed Mitchell and heres hoping he can get back to that level, the only person i would say has contributed in burns recent downfall is eddie hearn by keep puting Ricky in with southpaws which he doesnt often fare well with and finds it tricky. And lets be honest here only reason Harrison wants a fight with Ricky is for a payday as hes not near the level of Ricky Burns
