differance is Kovalev is not a face first brawler and also has good footwork and technique

No, not if he connects cleanly enough, but on the other hand, who does?

Unlikely. If Pascal can drop B-Hop, Kovalev's punches would surely finish the old man off.

Like many here have already said, the only question is if Kovalev can land them.

I seem to think Pascal put Hopkins down with a body shot.

Not to mention he is FIFTY THOUSAND years old. Grandpa vs a guy in his prime. If b-hop even wins a few rounds then sirgay is seriously overrated.

The first KD at the end of round one was an overhand right to the side/back of the head IIRC, but the second in round three looked like a left to the chin, although it's difficult to see exactly where it landed.

Edit: Actually just checked and it looked like he caught him on the chin with a left hook to me.

i'm not talking about the winning or the losing, i'm talking about the knockdowns that Pascal got in the first fight. when he landed clean on Bernard, he put him down.

oh, and i agree, i had Bernard winning the first fight by 2 points even though he was the one who visited the canvas.

Kovalev is going to be hitting the canvas multiple times, even though Bernard hasn't put hardly anyone down in years??

Kov won't come close to seeing the ring apron close up. Bernard however, is going be getting a real good look down there.

hope you put your money where your mouth is at the Bookies. it'll make the odds better for people like me. :good

Kovalev has more than what he's shown before. we've seen it here and there. with Bernard though, he just needs to fine tune it and be smarter when delivering his shots at all times. i think he will. he'll show that he has the boxing ability and the smarts to go with that power. he just didn't need to use it with the level he's mostly fought against.

Bernard simply doesnt have the legs anymore and lets be honest he hasnt fought anyone any good for two years.

The only way Bernard wins this is if he sticks the head in , cuts Kov and wins ugly.
