    It's one thing if a guy is shaking off cobwebs and "makes it" to his feet at nine - then he should be allowed to continue IMO.

    Taking a long knee is risky business and the downed fighter assumes that risk and has nobody else to blame if that decision bites him in the ass. Get up at eight if you want to be on the safe side. Wait until nine, and you are asking for it.

    I don't think the outcome would have been different if the fight continue. Lucas was going to take this guy out.

    You'd think fighters would have learned this by now.

    It certainly isn't the first time a fighter gambled by waiting until 9 and lost. If you're alright, don't wait until 9!

    You need to already be up at ten - not starting to wriggle your way up shakily at nine while not even meeting the ref's gaze.

    Is there a mouth piece rule? do you have to be ready to fight affter 8 count and does that include mouth piece? There has to be a rule for this?
