Hello fella's.. Steve Wood has a show tomorrow (06.09.14) in Blackburn, the first pro' show there in history.Topped by Luke Blackledge vs Philip Kotey for the vacant SM WBC Int' Silver. Also on the bill is unbeaten HW Adam Machaj & cruiser Stevie Taylor. However the fights I'm most looking forward too are Artif Ali & debutant Morgan Jackson (very strong kid!) Anyone going? thoughts on the show?

Phillip Kotey? Is that the guy who got blown out in 2 rounds by Kell Brook back in 2010?

Yeh that's the same Kotey - he's made weight today at S.Mid so can only presume he's had no option other than to go up a few,

Yeh mate, miles more improved - I was out in Denmark for the Skoglund fight & as much as it went the distance, Luke was pretty stuck when Skoglund mixed things up. And Maree should of been advising him a little better, no shame in losing to Skoglund at all, but there was no variety,

watching Luke since his move, he's 'boxing' a lot more - and is picking his shots well, but most importantly moving his head !

Yeh he got the win ... Won every round with ease & at times looked like putting him away, was actually surprised to see the Kotey fella there at the end.

Will do Luke's confidence a massive boost now & should go on and fight for the English I'd imagine, as a neutral I see blackledge - buglioni as a major domestic barn stormer

    on wards and up wards

would like to see him work his way in to a rematch with fielding , he practically set him self up for that shot similar not the same to froch walking on to that groves monster shot

Nah I think he's best of staying away from fielding to be honest, and don't see it being plausible for a few reasons - first fielding is now edging towards the worlds (with these intercontinental type jargon!!! But second, and mainly - I don't see rocky lasting too much longer at SMid,he's got to move up soon, Hearn won't want him , degale and c smith all at super mid - plus a potential world champ in Paul smith!

Writing on the wall for fielding to shake up light heavy!

Luke will grab English, then next year after Paul has gone maybe nab the British - Callum smith dependant!
