It's manufactured so they can limit his fights and the location and cherry pic.ward I think is nursing an injury and is reluctant to fight 3 times a year and get in dog fights with livewire opponents.

This is the thing that some people are forgetting on this forum. It's revisionist history on here as usual.

There were a few fighters that couldn't continue in the SUper 6 (i.e. Taylor, Dirrell,) and they had to bring in "substitute" fighters like Allan Green into the tourney.

Ward lucked out with certain fighters having to bow out of the tourney early. If everyone was healthy enough to continue, Ward would have had to done some traveling.

I'm not a huge Andre Ward fan by any means, but there was no one in that tournament that was beating that kid. Doesn't matter if they fought in the middle of nowhere, he's just far superior to all the contestants in that tournament. The only match that I was really looking forward to was him against Dirrell. That would've been a hell of a matchup.

Fun fact. Joe fought outside his home country a higher % of times than Ward has fought outside his home state. :deal

But as you can see from this video, even if all 6 had stayed in, Ward wouldn't have fought any of the round robin away.

He was due to fight Kessler, Dirrell and Taylor ALL in Oakland and was apparently not open to negotiations about leaving Cali to fight Taylor who by that point (if he would have stayed in) already traveled to Germany and Denmark.

If you also google: ward v dirrell: no budge on fight location you will see Ward was unwilling to meet half way on that fight as well.

What does him not willing to travel have to do with the fact that he's been undefeated to the last 10 years?

What does him winning the tournament with ease have to do with him not willing to travel?

What does his skills has to do with him not willing to travel?

I mean okay it's abit weird that he doesn't travel but still do you really think it would have any significant difference in the fight? I mean after all he did manage to capture the gold medal in Athene that's quite a disctance isn't it?

And he managed to capture the supersix title thousand miles from his hometown. So the evidence is there acually that Andre does travel and when he does he wins anyways. = D
