If Jon Jones Started In Boxing Would He Be A Champion?

If he's a MMAer he most likely has a vile Glass Jaw.

 

I don't think you guys realize just how different boxing and MMA really are.

Hell no. Why join the UFC when he could clearly make more money in Boxing?

 

He's not a particularly good boxer. Anderson Silva maybe could have been a champion but not Jon Jones. Anderson Silva actually reminds me of Tarver in some of his movements and his reflexes are good enough along with chin that he could have possibly.

But I don't see Jon Jones chin having been tested, his hand speed was never all that great either. Jon Jones is a wrestler who can strike, and who doesn't really have any particularly dangerous weapons with his hands.

 

He fights at 205 and has long contemplated moving ABOVE that. So no, he would not win a world title fighting in boxing's heavyweight division.

Lusty Gusty completely tore him apart on the inside in their fight. And Jones' 84" reach is impressive but there are multiple men who measure over 80 in boxing unlike in MMA.

 

If you have a glass jaw in MMA , Then that's even worst .

Because Punches are not the only thing you need to watch out for

Knees , Backhand fist , elbows , feet , Legs ETC .
