You can add just about every boxer going over the last twenty years. All had lot's to gain with nothing to lose. Even now when fighters are caught they do not get anything like what kind of punishment they deserve. Fatty James Toney being a prime exzample.

Briggs has fought as low as 205, you know.

His current 270 pound state, still muscular, is telling.

Golota looks like he has roid' belly the past few years.

In today's world, most sports have users of Steroids, Human growth hormone, or some sort of performance enhancers. Baseball, football, basketball, boxing, body building, powerlifting, wrestling, etc. Every one of these sports has participants that are juicing on something.

I don't even think you can get a job at a hot dog stand anymore unless you're doing roids.

I agree magoo, but some sports fans are still in denial. This thread is designed to root them out.

    Just a bit of fun.

I agree with almost everyone on your list, but do really think Spinks was using? He didn't look terribly built to me, though he did put on a considerable amount of weight in a short time. I think the picture below was taken sometime between 1985-1987.

I'd add Chris Byrd also. The fact that he's 37 years old and has somehow managed to drop about 35 pounds as he ventures into the light heavyweight division should signal some alarm bells.

Against Holmes he still looked kind of skinny.
But against Cooney and Tyson he actually looked quite beefy.

Of course, he wasn't massive, and even if he had been it's not necessarily due to drugs, but since I thrown a few names out there that dont have proof for there's no harm in adding Spinks.

Put it this way, if you were a skinny "natural light-heavy" and you're building up to be put against Tyson, would you being doing steroids ? I would be.

Come on, Spinks couldn't have lasted more than 60 seconds without using !

Some steroids are cutting agents like Winstrol.

    So, could be.

Anyway, while preparing for Holmes Spinks put on 15 pounds in three months.

Of course someones going to cite weight gain 5000, but putting on 15 pounds of muscle in three months after already being an elite athlete is impossible. The body just can't do it.

Once you get to a certain stage it becomes a grind to put on two pounds of muscle, none the less 15, hence where steroids and other things come into play to assist.

The juice was actually formulated using Marciano's blood. It's no coincidence that he died in 1969, leading to the steroid outbreaks starting in the 70's. As time's gone on, they've learned to temper the effects of the Marciano steroid reduction so as to not have such devastating end results on the users. Take too much, though....and Rocky will still KO your ass, just from the inside out. :yep
