Watch the Matthysse-fans come in and defend the stoppage.

    :patsch

It was a BS stoppage and Ortiz deserves a rematch.

i wish Ortiz was allowed to continue. Robbed us of watching him getting KO'd in spectacular fashion.

Out of curiosity. Do you believe Harrera deserves a rematch with Garcia?

You know, as he beat him but was robbed

As bad as it looked on TV, it looked even worse in person. Ref even waited until he was clearly getting up and quickly switched to waving his hands when he saw him getting up.

Count was 8 and a half, and yes the ref was sticking the wrong number of fingers in his face to make it confusing. Ortiz eyes, body language and demeanor clearly said he was unhurt. Everyone present thought it was a BS setup. Some speculated it was a dive.

If you paid attention, you'd see that from six and up, the ref started counting from his thumb. however, by the time he got to 9, he folded the thumb down and so it looked like 8. There was no number skipping.
Either way, the count was in spanish, which was the fighters language.

Matthysse fans in full fledged damage control mode, bringing up a different fight because they know damn well that the stoppage was a complete farce.

They know it, everyone knows it. :yep

Damage control mode in full force by Matthysse-fans.:lol::lol:

Yes, Ortiz delivering the knockout could have also happened.

Everyone knows the stoppage was bull****, even you.

Why do you guys feel the need to defend such a bull**** stoppage?

It takes so much credibility out of boxing. :smoke:patsch:verysad

It wasn't that BS of a stoppage.

These things happen all the time (Frampton vs. Cazares). If you can't fully understand a ten count and can't get on your feet in proper time with a proper look on your face, then you've given the ref every reason in the world to stop the fight.

The ref counted all the way to 10. Ortiz wasn't quite still and ready to go with his gloves raised. Anyone who waits until 9 and a half to start to get up has already given the ref reason to stop it. Also, the refs count slowed down through 7-8-9 so had he remained consistent with his first numbers counting, then Ortiz would have been still on his knees by 10 the way I see it either way.

    TKO2, deal with it.

It was an extremely close fight and I had Garcia winning that fight along with many others. It could have gone either way, no robbery was present. :deal

Molina was completely done....the dude was not even throwing, cowering in fear.. DeMarco beat the breaks off that kid in a round. :rofl

But this stoppage was completely bs and everyone including their mothers know it.

Even the commentators thought it was a complete farce. :deal
