Mchunu will be his biggest obstacle in the CW division. That little man can fight and Usyk will need a lot more experience before he can beat a guy like that.

Usyk reminds me of Chris Byrd. A very fast boxer who makes bigger opponents miss by a fraction of an inch and then counter punches effectively with speed both to head and body. He will be a cruiserweight champ and could become heavyweight champ. Wlad should be retired when Usyk hits his prime years. People forget but if Wlad never existed Chris Byrd would have had a more dominant reign as heavyweight champ. Wlad just was unusually fast for such a huge heavyweight.

Looks a very good prospect and should be a champion he seems to have good foot speed fast hands and good punch variation and good power .they can't hold him back though if he fights bad opposition he may get bored and develope bad habits .threads like these are excellent and help the site as it's usually full of crappy mayweather threads :D

You could probably throw him into a European title fight already

According to boxrec, Usyk is fighting South African Daniel Bruwer on Oct. 4th for the vacant WBO Intercontinental belt.
The fight is in Ukraine. It's showing Andriy Kotelnik on there as well.:blood

He's good, but still flawed, and as someone has already pointed out, bouncing should be considered a crime.

Anyway i don't think he will do good at Hw. By the time he'll enter the division, the average height will be even higher, and there'll be guys like that Chinese 7'0 godzilla around.
6'3 is certainly not short, but maybe not enough. We'll see.

He sorta reminds me of Johnny Nelson but a less good version. May be with more experience and training he could be as good as Nelson one day. Nelsons all time record of WBO Cruiserweight title defenses is truly an outstanding accomplishment
