floyd has more technical skill than any of the fab-four, so why wouldn't i compare floyd to the get hitman?

Him being more technical is not going to stop Hearns from decapitating him the sec he touches him .

Theres just No comparison between Hitman and Floyd .

Hopkins vs Mayweather has already been discussed before .

Ward vs Mayweather has already been discussed before .

Ive lost count how many times I heard Floyds delusional fans saying

"Floyd would outpoint B Hop "

"Floyd beats Ward in a chess match"

Its not that ridiculous to compare because In there mind , Floyd overcomes everyone and anyone .

Floyd would never be in the same league as Tommy Hearns Period .

if hearns doesn't get the knockout there's no way he's going to win especially after floyd starts timing him. that being said, it's hard for me to imagine anyone beating floyd besides super aggressive technical brawlers like duran and JCC.

Hearns could outbox Floyd . Hearns could outjab Floyd . Hearns could outpoint Floyd .

Do you even remember how versatile the Hitman was ?

But he wont have to do any of that . Why ???

Because Heres the thing , the sec Floyds gets hits .

    ITS ALLLLLLLLLL OVERRRRRRRR :tired

Floyd has absolutely no chance in hell beating Hearns . Its just not going to happen .

Honestly Its not even debatable . It really isn't .

u might be overrating hearns a little too much.... hearns is a great boxer but he does not outbox floyd, i don't even know how u made that conclusion.. like i said before(lol) once floyd gets into his rhythm he neutralizes every advantage his opponents have on him. and hearns wasn't a brawler he was somewhat of a technical fighter so there's no way he's outboxing probably the best technical fighter on film.

I agree that it's more likely that Hearns would win, likely by knockout. But the way you're talking about it makes it so that you don't have any more credibility than the *****s who think Mayweather would win this easy.

Hearns is much bigger and taller, obviously, which gives him a tremendous edge due to his style. However, P4P, there's not much difference in skill between the two of them. The "Hearns is a H2H nightmare for ANY WELTER EVER" myth is getting pretty obnoxious and annoying, thanks to posters like you.

Once again , Mayweather has no chance in hell in beating Hearns .

It will not be close , it will not be competitive . No matter what gameplan he brings into the ring , the result will always be the same .

Floyd gets laid out on the canvas . It wont go past 2 rnds , thats if Hearns let it go past 2 rnds .

"Hearns is a H2H nightmare for ANY WELTER EVER" is definitely not a myth .

    Its a FACT .

Nope , YOU might be overrating Floyd WAY TOO MUCH to even suggest he would last 12 rnds with the Hitman , and going way too far in saying he would on points against Tommy .

Nobody who struggles and gets knockdown by Zab Judah and loses to Castillo is going to get the best of Hearns who is the hardest puncher in the history of the WW division .

Yes, Maydana power is overrated, he couldn't drop Khan, and there'd also be pillow glowes in the upcoming fight

Film you say. Well speaking of film I don't know how you could watch 5-6 fights of each fighter and conclude that Floyd would have a hope in hell of winning.

He's not going to outbox Hearn's and he'd likely get KO'd.

Think about it, Hearn's is naturally bigger, he's significantly taller, has a longer reach, has far more power and there's not a huge difference in hand speed. For Mayweather to hit Hearn's he'd have to be within reach of Hearn's hitting him. I can't even think of a scenario where Floyd can get inside Hearn's jab land and get out without getting hit for the course of an entire fight.

    That's just not happening.

When Steward was asked about this fight he laughed and said Floyd should worry about today's opponents before taking about ever getting in the ring with Tommy.

The problem with Floyd fans is that they don't watch anyone else fight. They just assume he can do whatever he wants against any fighter who ever lived. That just isn't happening. Floyd has a A+ defense and a B level offense. He's not hurting the likes of Hearns (even though he's got the weakest chin) SRL or Duran, but they'd be lots of pain coming back at him. And no matter how great your defense is, if someone throws enough punches, feints enough throws jabs and following them up with combinations, you're going to get hit.

Speaking of film tell me about a couple of fights you would use to demonstrate how Floyd would beat Hearns, cause I just don't see it happening.

Floyd has a super high ring IQ and in his prime has shown an ability to adjust to just about every style of opponent. I am not saying that he would beat Hearns, but to make a sweeping statement that he would have no chance is just stupid, you are talking about a brilliant fighter here (just like Hearns was)

It's funny this thread is still going strong. Look - Floyd Mayweather has an iron chin. You can disagree but fact of the matter is you have not been in with the likes of his opposition. Yes his defense is fantastic, and yes it protects him but he's been hit, and he's been hit hard. Has he ever gone down from a punch or hit the canvas? NO.

There are some IRON CHINNED WARRIORS in boxing. Floyd Mayweather happens to be among those elite ones.
