I was a big Quarry fan, but Walcott would be too good. I'd pick Walcott over Ali, as a matter of fact.
Good point, but Walcott was, at times, erratic. The Walcott who almost beat Marciano would have beaten Lane. Regarding Ali, JJW was faster, smarter, trickier, fitter than Young, and he could punch with KO power.
And Ali was prime when he fought Young? Hows about the Williams version of Ali? How would Walcott fare against that guy?
After Ali kod Liston Walcott the referee was very pessimistic about his own chances with Ali. I like Walcott to decision Quarry. Bettter skills,and a better punch imo.
