    Yep.

I mean, having guys like Kovalev and Yamanaka in the last couple of spots to me is no insult to our current era. They're beastly.

...but yeah, depth is never quite what everyone hopes it to be in any particular division or the sport on the whole.

Fights such as Gonzalez KO1 Mares throw a real cat amongst the pigeons in everybody's ranking.

With that as an example, had that fight not occurred it's safe to say Mares AND Moreno walk in the top 20 but Gonzalez is good but not really top 20.

I think GGG is better than Canelo. He's looked more impressive against the top guys in his division.

Compare GGG's performances against Geale and Macklin to Canelo's performances against Lara and Trout.

He is definitely better h2h but TBRB heavily weighs achievement.

Same reason you kind of have to shrug and be okay with Stevenson ahead of Kovalev (who seriously would end him) and Hopkins (probably makes Adonis look silly)

GGG is better than Canelo, but Canelo has the Lara win. It's what you do not how you look, at least in the main.

Just to point out - below the line at #10, i'm speaking for myself, not for TBRB. TBRB has Danny G at #11 for example, whereas i've gone for Cotto.

I think GGG is more skilled than Canelo. For one thing, he actually knows how to cut off the ring.

Well you've absolutely got them on that one. Even with all the reasons it wasn't some big thing, his victory over Martinez has to put him right up there, knocking on 10's door, or else the whole "ranking on achievement" thing is made bunkum.

    He is more skilled, yes.

...but Alvarez has done more, and thus gets ranked higher.

I think Springs would agree with you, but the breaks have been pumped because of the knee.

    i don't think it's that unreasonable if i'm honest.

Moreno and Huck should be in contention

I might put Huck at 20 actually, looking at that.
