Charlo is landing his jab incisively, past the guard, and tossing in a frisbee right hand. Gonzalez is backed up in straight lines, looking ready to go but fighting it. BIG straight combo by Charlo, pinning Gonzalez in a corner. Gonzalez weathers it, somehow. Charlo lets him escape and picks him apart with jabs. Gonzalez moves to his left and gets hung up on the ropes again, Charlo blasting him with straights. Charlo lunges and catches Gonzalez on the tip of the nose with a double jab. Right hand at the bell by Charlo.

I know but I'm sick and I've been late for work literally every day this week and was planning on being in early tomorrow. :!:

 

I almost wrote "TKO6" during the last round just assuming Bayless would step in, both times Charlo got him on the ropes.

 

Round 7

Charlo is working lead rights and left hooks as Gonzalez is lain on the ropes, jaw hanging slack and breathing through his mouth. Charlo is starting to open up. Towel in from Gonzalez's corner.

Still a pretty impressive result, with Gonzalez never before stopped - although it does feel like Charlo probably could have picked it up and ended it sooner.

 

Yeah, answering the bell for the seventh did nothing for him, and you could tell he didn't really even want to.
