    :good

FS1 usually features higher-level fights than, say, GFL.tv (although not as competitive...it's the different between FS1 having B+ vs. C- guys whereas on GFL.tv it's generally D vs. D... :yep)

So it still isn't bottom of the barrel.

In fairness, the card did provide us with a decent showcase for Julian Williams against an opponent who proved to be better than expected and wasn't prepared to go away. Plus Luis Ortiz looked impressive in finishing off an over-matched foe in less than a round.

I've seen worse cards, in terms of how the showcased fighters dealt with their opposition.

I'm curios about Malignaggi...i thought he worked for showtime which is owned by CBS? They are also promoting the Mayweather fight, which i thought CBS would be doing

CBS really aren't in the boxing game. (although they made overtures of getting into it a couple of years ago)

All the minor-league basic cable boxing networks (ESPN2, NBC Sports, FS1) promote and talk about upcoming big fights on both HBO and Showtime, they don't have a particular allegiance.

As for Paulie himself, he works for Golden Boy - in and out of the ring.

Hence him commentating on Showtime (which is the current home of GBP since they swapped with Top Rank, now parked at HBO) and on FS1 which does mainly GBP showcase cards.

It's about the promotional firm, not so much the network.
