After Floyd retires, who will run the sport?

Do you think the sport dies for a decade, or do you think somebody right now can carry on the excitement after Floyd leaves? Floyd is an amazing fighter, and everyone wants to see Floyd lose because he's undefeated, and that's why boxing is where it's at right now. But once he's gone, whose going to bring the excitement to the sport and the casual fan? Pacquiao is on the way out, cotto has a couple years maybe, GGG is on his way up but I feel he isn't a big draw yet, Ward has the skill but doesn't want to fight for some reason.I Just want to see what you guys think the future holds for the sport of boxing.

Floyd's probably gonna fight for another 2-3 years, so the answer must be someone with youth, charisma, proven talent, proven ability to handle pressure: Canelo, Thurman
Fury, Spence, Dulorme, Garcia. Golovkin and Ward are both certainly capable of fighting into their late 30s so I suppose they would be solid answers also.

 

sport didn't miss floyd when was he went into hiding from margo, cotto and shane.

Yet he fought Shane & Cotto and won?...Margo was never a threat for him. Cotto faired well but lost. I'm a cotto fan, and wanted Miguel to beat Floyd, but Floyd won it.

 

I'm only 22 years old, and I've been looking at this forum since I was 12. I didn't make an account til I was 17 because I felt I was too young to post my opinion, but I wonder why I didn't post more. I already want to call people out for their delusional ideas and thoughts.

Not a Mayweather fan but not a hater either. You cannot deny he is the biggest draw in boxing right now.

 

After he's retired, there'll be plenty of great fighters who will take that P4P #1 spot but no-one will bring in the hype or money that Mayweather does, simply because of how he markets his fights and the whole process of bringing in big celebs, casino money etc.
