Just thinking there , Paul butler fights for his second world title in as many fights in October.

Provided he wins that will take him to 17 - 0 , is this some kind of record for being the shortest number to reach two world titles?

Worth noting if he does win then that's him pretty much cleared up (without unifying) in less than 4 years too ( I know there isn't a massive amount of competition down there but hey!!)

Definitely the shortest number in terms of facing the weakest champions possible to become a two weight world champ.

    Impressive match-making.

In what way was it inadvertent?

    Pretty deliberate.

I'm impressed he somehow got Butler a shot at Hall when he had no right to face him.

So it looks as though no one actually knows?!?

Yep very good match making indeed & to be honest it is questionable as to why he got the nod for the hall fight but non the less he's beating what's put in front of him...

I'd have him to beat yafai every day of the week at the moment, see how yafai develops over next year or so

Yes Paul Butler broke the record for an English fighter to win a world title with least fights last time out, so he will break another record this time if he's to win another title.

Scotland's Paul Weir won a World title in only his 6th fight and became a two weight World champion in only his 9th fight! Good luck beating that

He is the quickest British world champ in terms of number of fights.

Should he win he'll be the first to go down in weight to win a second title for a long time. Can't remember who did it last.

I assume he'll be the quickest two time/ two weight world champ in Britain. Possibly the world.

So is Butler still British champ then? Is anyone allowed to fight for the Brit super-fly title ever again?
