The division is as in a poor state as it has been for the last 10 years really. Pulev is a good boxer, however I would rate him as about even with someone like Chagaev in his prime. However Wilder stands out as just about the most pathetic contender over that decade. His windmill punches are a sight for sore eyes.

Klitschkos dominate the oppenents, and then knock them out... They've only been in a handful of boring fights. Vitali is generally regarded as an exciting fighter, and even though Wlad has had a couple of really boring fights he's generally exciting, hence his high KO ratio.

Why are the people bash Wlad and call him boring oftenfans of Ward, Rigo, and Hopkins????? Wlad is 10x more exciting than those guys.

Lemme explain how this thing works, ok? The heavyweight division is, traditionally, the marquee division in boxing. This is because they have tended to generate more excitement which generally means more MONEY for the promoters and TV. it was so in the ali era, the holmes era, the tyson era...The one thing the heavyweight division didn't have that the majority of fight fans yearned for was a WHITE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMP. So, when the klitchko's won the title, the TV and promoters were ecstatic...white + heavyweight + champ = a butt ton of $$, right? Well, after broadcasting 3 or 4 klitchko fights, HBO decided to stop showing them. Just cut them off... Just like that... The reason given was that their fights were so fcukin BORING that even racist white people (of which there's A LOT) wouldn't watch!

How boring you gotta be that HBO, SHOWTIME, NONE OF THE PREMIUM CABLE NETWORKS WILL BROADCAST A TITLE FIGHT WITH A WHITE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMP? The klitchko's basically killed boxing...they are the most responsible for the rise of UFC to prominence over the past 10 years. They are beyond boring...watching them fight is like watching a catatonic person just sit there and shake...the sport of curling is EXCITING compared to them. I used to think john ruiz was boring, but i actually kind of miss him when i look at what heavyweight boxing has come to. The klitchko era will go down as the era when heavyweight boxing left the building. It was that bad...actually worse, but I stopped paying attention a long, long time ago.

Cool. I grew up watching the Klitschkos, always been a fan and I always will be.

Also, your post lost any sense of credibility when you gave praise to fraud Ruiz, shut up.

We are entering a golden era... Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, Dillian Whyte, Deontay Wilder, Haye comeback, Stiverne, Chisora still got a lot to give and some good Eastern Euros like Usyk. Some great fights to be made.

Joshua will end up top of the pile tho

This really shows how many fans dont follow boxing outside the country they live.
We are in an era where there is an ATG HW champ and now there is hype with Wilder and someone feels he may go to the top (which he may), suddenly they think the division is looking better to them than previously, when it has been good for a while

Golden era. You say this as you think there are competitive matches, which is fine, but if you look at some of those fighters, they have already lost to a Klitschko and there wouldnt be several there that many would have picked to have beaten one of the Klitschkos

Well, I don't like tyson fury...he sucks. So does chisora. Haye is not a real heavyweight...he's a cruiserweight and he didn't show me anything in the klitchko fight. The guys that will go places are joshua, stiverne, wilder and ortiz...watching them take turns beating wlad's head in is gonna make for some exciting times.

That's like saying Tyson was responsible for the rise of WWF wrestling to prominence in the 1980s.

Tyson Fury I've only seen in the Chisora fight, but if he's any good he might be the guy for the K bros because of his reach, either way lets all pray he does well whomever he fights because he's a hell of a talker and the HW division could use him. If he can fight as well as he can talk he should be pushed in front of American audiences.
