Large Dan says there's no Rosado fight for Kirkland. The two leading opponents are Maciel and Baysangurov. You'd figure Kirkland would fight a bigger name than one of those guys.

Seems Kirkland only wanted to face Alvarez on ppv and not regular HBO/Showtime.

I hate all the ppv's this year but I'd rather pay ppv money to get an Alvarez-Kirklnad fight instead of Alvarez-Clottey on regular HBO/Showtime, I have no interest in watching Clottey vs anyone including Alvarez.

I hate the Clottey fight if it happens, looking likely too.

Clottey is an ok, at best, opponent for Alvarez especially when you factor Alvarez's schedule.

Clottey's a former top contender at welterweight but that was years ago. He will be 37 and have had 3 fights in almost 5 years by fight time.

He stopped Mundine this year and thats a respectable win(nothing special) at this point. Outside of that he's simply a faded former contender, with some name value, looking for one last notable payday. He poses little threat to actually beating Alvarez.

The bigger problem is Clottey is awful to watch and probably spends the entire fight walking around the ring with his hands glued to his head.

Alvarez will treat Clottey like a punchig bag and Clottey will be ok with that.

According to The Scene, Kirkland-Rosado is a done deal at 156.

Kirkland is his own biggest enemy. He's self destructed TWICE already. He's very fortunate to have Ann Wolfe & Pops Billingsly willing to give him chance after chance.
I keep expecting to hear he's back in trouble again like they say Once a street punk Always a street punk
