CW Eubank + the concoction of steroids and PEDs Roy was pumped full of for Ruiz vs John Ruiz?

CW Thompson probably hit harder than Ruiz and he threw everything bar the kitchen sink at Eubank and landed flush with sickening regularity. Eubank took everything he could dish out.

Thanks for that Man will have to watch it when I finish work. It was a great era for British boxing. Damn I ended up in hospital the night Eubank vs Watson 2, colapsed and fell down a flight of concrete stairs lol

No worries. Yeah, it was a fantastic era for British boxing. I have fond memories of watching all those great fights and fighters back then, obviously not Eubank-Watson II though.

****! Falling down a flight of concrete steps? Sounds painful lol.

People forget that Eubank was fighting one-eyed from the halfway point in both those Thompson wars. The amount of absolutely sickening flush bombs he took once it closed up was frightening. As you well know, Thompson was routinely laying out huge CWS/boiled down HWS in devastating highlight reel fashion. Amazing fights and a Herculean display of courage and chin by Eubank.

Thompson came in at 210lb ripped to the bone. Eubank turned pro at 154lb. Absurd stuff. No steroids.

Thompson said his fighting weight was ''something close to his walk around weight'' about (202 lbs), was he really that big for those fights? What did Eubank weigh for them? I know he hit the scales at 186 lbs but he had lead weights in his boots. He looked a little thicker to me for the rematch though. Thompson still would've held a huge weight advantage over him though.

I don't think Jones was shown on British TV yet. First I saw of him was against Thomas Tate.

Eubank was lifting weights at King Alfred Leisure Centre for the CT rematch, for the first time ever.

He definitely looked a bit bigger in the rematch to me.

The first time I recall seeing Jones on TV over here was the Clinton Woods fight, which IIRC was on the BBC. I remember seeing him way before that on Eurosport - the Toney was on there and I also recall seeing a profile about him featuring a few of his earlier fights too, the scary Art Serwano KO was the one that I remembered most of all.
